Workers at JNS in Manesar took wildcat action today. JNS manufactures automobile parts, such as speedo-metres, employing 2,200 workers, most of the women. On 8th of March the A-shift started a sit-down strike, the B-shift followed. Police arrived at the factory, but didn’t intervene. Workers stayed inside after their shift and refused to enter the company buses. Workers stayed together over night. They demand a wage increase and permanent contracts. This factory has a history of unofficial workers actions.
