AW#2 Struggles at Heathrow airport (February 2021)

Three AngryWorkers, including a Heathrow worker, as well a tube driver discuss the wave of strikes across the airport in recent months. From a workers’ and shop steward’s perspective, how can we understand these struggles, happening as they are when management attacks during a pandemic and many workers are still on furlough. AW#1 Workers’ Inquiry (January 2021)

Three AngryWorkers discuss the concept of ‘worker’s inquiry.’ We look at the origins of this concept which was developed by political groups in Italy in the 1960s, part of a tendency known as ‘Operaismo’ (‘Workerism’). These groups tried to understand how a new generation of workers and a new organisation of production, namely the assembly line, created the basis for a new trajectory of working class struggle. The comrades formed study groups together with workers, asked them about their experiences and discussed how these related to the wider contradictions of the capitalist system.
